Any tournament chat board you are associated with, whenever a new chat comes into the board, you will see a red-dot-flag at the top of the page.
This information in these chat boards may be useful to some, but not to others who are not interested seeing alerts for these boards.
To stop alerts from tournaments you're not interested in, go to the Dashboard , then look for the "Parlour and Tournament Chat board monitors" near the lower part of the main dashboard page. You'll see a button to flush your associations with all the tournament parlour chat boards.
"Reset my chat-alert associations of recent parlour room visits."
Be sure to read the information there, it talks about your email-opt-in state, and TD-delegation state. And of course, if you're a participant in the active tournament, you will not be exempt from these alerts for the rooms.
Keep in mind, that if you clear all your associations and flush the cache as described in the Dashboard, you'll no longer be alerted of chats in those rooms.
However, if you re-enter the room of a tournament, you'll once again be associated with the tournament, and chat alerts for the room will resume. You'll want to repeat the process of flushing the chat cache to stop it.
